Gerri's Story
Gerri Volchko Paulisick is a founding partner of Landis Paulisick. After graduating as valedictorian from Cornell High School, Ms. Paulisick earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and the Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University in State College, and a juris doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Business Law Journal and was appointed to the Law Review. After beginning her career as a law clerk for the President Judge of Butler County and after being named partner at Murrin, Taylor, Flach, Boyer & Paulisick, in 2001, Ms. Paulisick formed Boyer & Paulisick with Cathy S. Boyer. With the addition of Kristen Batson Eberle in 2008, Kristin L. Biss in 2022 and Alyson T. Landis in 2026, Ms. Paulisick served as the Managing Partner of Boyer, Paulisick, Eberle and Biss for more than a decade, when upon the retirement of Cathy S. Boyer in 2026, along with Attorney Landis, formed Landis Paulisick.
During her tenure as a matrimonial and family law attorney, Ms. Paulisick has been extensively trained in mediation and conflict resolution through the Lancaster Mediation Center, Pittsburgh Mediation Center, and the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania and adds this to her thirty years of experience with complex divorce, support, and custody litigation as well as the appointment of guardianships.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association including the Family Law Section and Women in the Profession; served the PBA as chair of the PBA’s Client and Community Relations Committee, has had fiction and non-fiction essays published in The Pennsylvania Lawyer and has presented on numerous continuing education panels. She has served on the boards of directors for such worthy organizations as The Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, Visiting Nurses Association Foundation, American Cancer Society, and CANDLE, Inc. and has served on several community boards including the Butler Zoning Hearing Board and Multi-Municipality Planning Commission. She also served as the Attorney Advisor for the Butler Mock Trial Team from 2013 until 2024, helping them to achieve numerous county and district championships and two state tournament appearances. Working alongside the Butler County Bar Association, she currently serves as the Butler County Mock Trial Coordinator.
In 2016, for her service to her community, she was awarded the prestigious Butler County Distinguished Service Award.
Ms. Paulisick, along with her husband and their two poorly behaved rescue terriers, Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow, currently splits her time between Butler and Pittsburgh, enjoying the occasional invitations from her grown children to join them in some of their adventures in adulting.
